Panel: Ann, Manasee and Kumkum

After my first review with the panel, where I showed them the work I have done so far, here are the suggestions they made.

I presented my research, along with a few thoughts on how I'd like to see the brand.
Ann felt like some of the factual data especially with numbers involved would need a little more light shed on it.
She also pointed out, that I need to keep my target audience in mind.

Kumkum and Manasee felt that using the information I have got from my questionnaires and research so far, I should start developing a brand personality.
This would involve a moodboard that lists the characteristics of the product, the form shape, textures associated with it, colours, brand association, sentences, adjectives etc.
While looking for what's out there in the market, in terms of packaging for appliances, they suggested I look at Philips and Morphy Richards.

Some of the valid questions I need to ask the client are what kind of branding are they looking at? Product based branding, or branding the entire company(KVRS), and have the Maestro be a sub brand.
Will they be launching more products in the future?

For the next review I need to have a good idea of what the brand is going to be like as well as some initial ideas and concepts.

Panel: Ann, Manasee and Kumkum

We started out by looking at the logo options I have done and narrowing down to just 3 that I would tweak a little before my client selects the final logo.
The next step would be to create a set of mood boards with the look, feel and style I would like to give the packaging.
Kumkum, Ann and Manasee felt that since the logo has to lend itself to all appliances that the company plans to manufacture, the packaging should have more life and emotion to it. Since Maestro is the parent brand, and the Multicooker is a sub-brand, the look and feel of the packaging doesn’t have to be the same as the Maestro.
After looking at my timeline, they and I both felt that I should not waste too much more time on the logo, and it should be finalized in the next few days. My next focus should be on packaging of the product and the other collaterals. They also adviced me to keep enough time for printing and that I should organize my timeline accordingly and stick to it.

Panel present: Manasi and Ann

I have been mailing Kumkum back and forth as I knew she wouldn't be there for my review, so in the minutes of this meeting, I would also like to add Kumkum's feedback.

For this review, I had my manual (in it's work in progress stage) and my packaging design ready. The look and feel of the product was more or less decided, but the smaller details needed to be worked out.

Manasi and Ann helped me with that to a great extent, asking me whether a lot of the details I had put in were really necessary, and helped me clean up the layouts.
- For the manual they thought my cover layout could be simplified a lot more.
- I need to reduce the font sizes used on my packaging. Keep the front as clean as possible.
Kumkum felt like I need to experiment a little more with my product shots and see if there was any other way I could display it.

As for my stationery, especially the visiting card, I need to keep in mind who the person mentioned in the card is, and how to contact him. The brand shouldn't take ultimate importance.

I also need to go through the body copy everywhere one more time, and make sure I haven't missed out on any typos or any other mistakes.
